How to choose the right size?
Share
Follow these three simple steps to avoid fitting issues and to pick the right size.
- Measure your bust, waist, and hip accurately.
- Add ease allowance that gives you the comfort.
- Compare them to our garment size chart
Step1: Body Measurements Guide
1. Bust:
Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust.
๐ Make sure the tape is straight across your back and not too tight.
2. Waist:
Measure around the narrowest part of your waistโusually just above your belly button.
๐ Stand relaxed; donโt suck in your stomach for an accurate measurement.
3. Hips:
Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks.
๐ The tape should sit level all the way around.
๐ธ Tip: Always measure over lightweight clothing or undergarments for best accuracy.
๐ธ Reminder: These are body measurements. Do not pick the size with your exact body measurement.
Step 2: Adding Ease allowance
โจ Understanding Ease Allowance
What is Ease Allowance?
Ease is the extra room added to your body measurements to ensure the garment fits comfortably โ it allows you to move, breathe, and sit with ease.
Example: If your bust measures 36 inches and the garment bust is 38 inches,
that 2-inch difference is the ease allowance โ for comfort and movement. The ease allowance can be between 2-4inches depending upon the kind of fit you prefer. Having said that you should also consider the fabric shrinkage after wash, especially in fabrics like cotton the ease allowance can be 3-4 inches.
Step 3: Pick your size from our size chart
Now, compare the sum of Body measurement + Ease allowance with the garment measurements in our size chart and pick the size that offers a comfortable fit.
